

Services for William “Dumpy” Mosley, 63, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Paul Mettlen and Bro. Dub Bullard officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Mosley was born February 21, 1952 in Angelina County, Texas, the son of the late Alice (James) and A. G. Mosley. He passed away Monday, December 7, 2015.
Mr. Mosley was a loving father and grandfather. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He graduated from Lufkin High School. He went to work as a machinist at Lufkin Industries, retiring after 40 years. He really enjoyed spending time at home with his horses and cat. He enjoyed coon hunting with Ronnie Parker, riding horses, buggy rides, and raising cattle.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Neil Orillion of Sherwood, Arkansas; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Christal Mosley of Diboll; grandchildren, Shelby Orillion, Hannah Orillion, Matthew Mosley, and Colby Mosley; sisters, Nancy Cryer of Killeen, Carolyn Stringer and husband Larry of Lufkin, and Aileen Estes of Wells; and a number of other family members.
Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Parker.
Pallbearers will be Norman Oswalt, Johnny Ray Sims, Roy Mettlen, Randy Clark, Richard Mosley, and Neil Orillion.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
