Willie Crum Jr.

Willie Crum Jr., of Wells, Texas, was born June 25, 1929 in Wells, Texas and passed away November 14, 2018 at the age of 89. Willie worked as a truck driver and warehouse worker. He worked for Red Ball Motor Freight and the City of Lufkin. Willie is survived by his children: Jimmy Crum and wife, Lisa; Kenneth Crum and wife, Betty; Janie Poulan and husband, Terry; and Jennifer Grounds and husband, Marty; grandchildren: Stacey Crum, Heather Vineyard, Josh Crum, Marvin Rochelle, Malcolm Johnson, Tiffany Meguess, Dakota Grounds, Britny Lummus, Morgan Whitlow and Polly Grounds; great grandchildren: Cade Meguess, Brent Meguess, Kaylan Meguess, Kinzie Vineyard, Kylie Vineyard, Evan Lummus, Samuel Whitlow, Abbey Whitlow, Jesse Whitlow, Trevor Ellis and Michael Ellis; and numerous other family members and friends. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, William Edger Crum and Floy Bell Holsomback Crum; wife, Nell Crum in 2013; son, William Jefferson Crum; granddaughter, Ashley Poulan; sisters, Aline Fussel and Pauline Tobias. Visitation will be at Gipson Funeral Home on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 11am-1pm. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 1pm with Bro. Horace Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Flat Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be: Mitchell Whitlow, Wesley Lummus, Dennis Wayne Dunn, Gilmer Davis, Steve Vann and Jerrod Vineyard. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Marvin Rochelle and Allen Young.
