Adelino "Raul" Goncalves

Adelino “Raul” Ramos Goncalves, 70, of Lynn passed away on, Saturday November 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Eugenia (Da Veiga) Goncalves, with whom he shared over 40 years of marriage.

He was born on November 3, 1952 in Fogo, Cape Verde, to the late Ludgero and Cataria (Depina) Goncalves.

He will be remembered for his love of sitting on the porch, drinking his favorite Budweiser, and smoking Marlboro cigarettes. He loved to dance with his wife to their favorite Cape Verde music and being with his grandchildren.

He was the devoted father; of Manuela Ramos, Adelina Goncalves, Jose Goncalves, Otelino Goncalves, Domingas Goncalves, Alex Goncalves, and Sandy Goncalves; the cherished grandfather to 12 grandchildren, and the dear brother to several siblings.

Visitation will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Friday December 2, 2022 from 4 pm – 8 pm. His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday December 3, 2022 at Holy Family Church, 21 Bessom Street, Lynn at 10:30 am. Please meet directly at the church. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
