Arlene E. Walsh

Arlene E. (Wolusky) Walsh, 76, of Lynn, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, following a brief illness. True to form, she spent her final moments exactly where she loved to be most: surrounded by the warmth, laughter, and love of her devoted family.

Born in South Boston on September 23, 1949, to Elizabeth Puras, Arlene carried the proud, resilient spirit of her roots throughout her life. She spent many wonderful years in South Boston and Charlestown before settling in Lynn. Arlene was the beloved wife and partner of the late Patrick J. Walsh, with whom she shared a beautiful life.

Arlene's greatest achievement and ultimate joy was the family she built and nurtured. She was a deeply devoted mother whose love for her family knew no bounds. She leaves behind her beloved children, Kimberly Burdulis and her husband, James, Kellie O'Haire and her husband, William, and Patrick Walsh and his wife, Kristen, all of Lynn. Her heart grew even larger as a grandmother, and she poured endless pride and affection into her grandchildren: Daniel, Ashleigh, Thomas, Kyleigh, Hannah, and Patrick Jr. For Arlene, family was everything, and her home was always filled with love.

A wonderful sister, aunt, and loyal friend, Arlene leaves behind a rich tapestry of loved ones who will carry her memory forward. She is survived by her sisters, Diane Rizzo and her husband, Lenny, of Las Vegas, Cheryl Wuschke and the late Michael Morrison, of Malden, and Donna Arts and her husband, Michael, of Weymouth, her brothers, William Wuschke and his wife, Kathy, of Dorchester, and Steven Wuschke of South Boston, and her sister-in-law, Angela Callahan of Tewksbury. She rejoins her beloved brother, the late John Puras, in eternal peace.

Arlene had a rare gift for making people feel welcome, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, cherished neighborhood memories, and lifelong friendships from South Boston to Charlestown. She loved fiercely, lived fully, and her bright spirit will be celebrated forever by all who knew her.

A vibrant life deserves to be remembered by those who loved her most. Family and friends are invited to share stories, smiles, and memories during her visitation on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. A private burial will take place at a later date.
