

Barbara Rae (Trippett) Murphy, 77, of Lynn, departed this world for a better one, July 10th, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her two loving daughters beside her. Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Barbara was the daughter of the late Binford and Mary (Piccole) Trippett. She was the loving mother of Erin Murphy of Salem and Heather Coppola and her husband, John of New Jersey; the cherished grandmother of Brandon Brock of Michigan; the dear sister of Doreen Bird of Lynn, Ronald Trippett of Topsfield, Wayne Trippett of Salem and Paula Fishner of Oregon and the late Marydale Harmer; and the aunt of several nieces and nephews. She was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1958. Barbara retired from Home Depot in Saugus after 17 years of service. Before and while working for Home Depot, Barbara loved doing interior decorating for many friends and others. Wherever Barbara worked she brought laughter and friendship among all her co-workers.
Barbara’s funeral will be held on Thursday, July 14th, at 8:00 a.m. from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 13th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
