Bella A Durant

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Abel and Bella (LeBlanc) Melanson.

For many years she worked for General Electric at the West Lynn Plant. Bella was a former communicant of St. Jean’s Church and more recently a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

She leaves two daughters, Nancy McGlynn and her husband Richard of Peabody, and Sandra Goyette and her husband William of Venice, FL. She was the sister of Alice Champigny and Rita LeBlanc both of Lynn. She also leaves three grandchildren, Eric McGlynn of Beverly and Brian and Katelyn McGlynn of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Arthur, Abel, Henry, George, Leo, Joseph and Alfred Melanson, Jeanne Richard, Victoria Minton and Lucille Colby.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn at 9 AM. Burial in St. Jean’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday 2-6 PM.
