Beth E. Cormier

Beth E. Cormier, 77, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away on August 31, 2019. She was the cherished daughter of the late Walton and Laura (Kimble) McGown, and the beloved wife to the late Raymond Cormier. She attended Lynn schools graduating from Lynn Classical High School in 1960. Beth worked at the Lynn Hospital for over 25 years.

She was the dear mother to Laurie Cormier, and Michael Cormier; the adored grandmother of Ryan Cormier and Justin Cormier; the darling sister to Stephen McGown, Susan Wagner, and Peggy Gagnon. Beth is also survived by her many cousins, nieces and nephews. Beth enjoyed playing bingo. She frequently attended bingo a St Marys and St Pius in Lynn, as well as other social clubs in the surrounding Lynn area. Beth also enjoyed playing cards. She loved a good game with friends and especially the many games of rummy she played with her mom. When she wasn't busy socializing, one of her favorite past times was reading a good book. She would read one to two novels a week, picking up a new one as soon as she put down the last.

Beth’s visiting hours will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday evening, September 4, from 5-8 PM. Her Funeral Service will be in Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home on Thursday morning, September 5, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have donations made in Beth’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, donations may be made at https://www.alz.org/manh
