C. William "Bill" Connolly

C. William “Bill” Connolly, age 86, of Lynn, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief illness on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Bill leaves behind his wife Donna (Grisko) Connolly with whom he was married for more than 59 years.

He was the son of the late Francis and Olga “Tootsie” (Smith) Connolly and was their only child. Family meant everything to Bill, who leaves behind four children James and his wife Jennifer of Georgetown, Patricia and her husband Joseph Bruneau, Kathleen and her husband Stephen Tartarini all of Lynn, and Kevin and his wife Jennifer of Peabody, and grandchildren Patrick, Meghan, Brendan, Mathieu, Ben, Sarah, Katie and Cameron.

Bill was a graduate of Lynn English High School and Burdette School of Business. He worked as an automotive comptroller for various car dealerships in the area including Lynngate Motors, United Truck, Danvers BMW and Pride Auto. Bill was a man of great faith as a lifelong parishioner of St. Pius V Church, where he proudly constructed the school's trophy case as a donation. Upon his retirement, Bill worked part time at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home for several years. Bill was a member of the Gannon Golf Club for many years, where he celebrated 2 aces, on holes 6 & 14.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM - 3:45 PM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a Prayer Service at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s name may be made to All Care Hospice, 210 Market Street, Lynn, MA 01901.
