Carmen O. Brenes

Carmen was born, educated and grew up in Costa Rica. She came to the United States at age 48. She resided with her children in Massachusetts and Florida. She was the daughter of the late Rafael and Fidelina (Calvo) Solano.

She worked at Rita’s Place Catering for many years. She previously worked at Logan Airport. She was also a mid wife in Costa Rica.

She is survived by her devoted children George Solano and his wife Jane of No. Andover, Guido Brenes and his wife Patricia of Lynn, John Brenes and his wife Elizabeth of Saugus, Hugo Brenes and his wife Paula of Chelsea, Ralph Brenes and his wife Tina of Sarasota,FL, Luis Brenes and his wife Alcira of Bradenton, FL and Marlene White of Peabody. Her former daughter in law Floribeth Brenes of Revere. She was one of 12 siblings in Costa Rica. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden at 1:30 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Gifts in her memory may be made to Hospice Care Inc. 41 Montvale Ave Stoneham, MA 02180.
