Carol Ann Paul

June 26, 1954 – April 3, 2023
Obituary of Carol Ann Paul
IN THE CARE OF

Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home

Carol A. (Ivy) Paul of Salem passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the age of 68. She was the beloved wife of Steven H. Paul.

Carol grew up in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1972, and later attended Northeastern University. She worked for many years as a waitress and bartender at The Tides and The Porthole, where her granddaughter would visit her and dance on the dance floor. Carol also managed The Scotch Mist, and worked for Fidelity and Sebastian’s Catering.

She had an amazing way with people and always knew how to make you laugh, even while she was hurting. She and her husband Steve raised their granddaughter Katelyn in Lynn. Carol loved to party and have adventures with her husband Steve, who misses her greatly. She loved to outwit members of the opposite sex, decorate for the holidays and throw holiday parties for her family and friends. She also loved to play computer games, which is how she met her sister Kay.

Carol was the devoted mother/nana of Katelyn Alston and stepmother to Mark and Michelle Paul; the cherished grandmother of Jonnathan, Jordayn, Cheryl, Mackenzie, Zackary, Laci and Marques; and the loving great-grandmother to Charlotte, Julian and Greison. She was the loving sister of Jim, Pam and the late Eileen and sister-in-law Marie. Soul-sister to Wanda as well as Kay across the pond in England. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends that she considered family. She was also the beloved daughter-in-law to the late Nathan and Marie Paul.

At Carol’s request, funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Carol's name to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.

You are our sunshine.
