Carolyn R. Love

Mrs. Carolyn R. Love, age 74 years, of Lynn died Friday at the Peabody Glen Healthcare Center in Peabody, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Leonard G. Love with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Bertha E. (Webb) McCarthy. She attended schools in Melrose and Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1958. Carolyn was employed at Analogic for many years until she retired in 2002. She enjoyed camping at Acecapader Acres in Berwick, ME for many years. She also loved traveling, shopping and spending time with family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Evelyn B. DiCarlo and her husband James of Lynn, Cheryl A. Whitten and her husband James of Revere, Debbie S. Toner and her husband Arthur of Lynn, one sister, Evelyn Drago of Peabody, three brothers, Gerald McCarthy of Melrose, George McCarthy of Whitefield, NH, Robert McCarthy of Elma, NJ, ten grandchildren, one great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late John P. Poitras and sister of the late Edward McCarthy and Elizabeth Adam. Service Details: Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St., Lynn, on Thursday at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Please make memorial donations in Carolyn's name to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O.
