

Mr. Charles “Gus” Kleros, age 93, of Lynn, died Thursday morning in the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Rita (Lynch) Kleros, with whom he shared over 61 years of marriage.
Born in Somerville, Charles was the son of the late Louis and Anna (Nickolopolos) Kleros. He attended Lynn Schools and Lynn Classical High School. He later was a graduate of the Wolverine Trade School, Lincoln Welding School and Hobart Welding School. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a welder and steamfitter. In later years, he was owner and operator of Lane Welding. He was a member of Local #537, the AmVets, the VFW, the Jordan Lodge of Masons and the Aleppo Temple Shrine. He enjoyed reading, but above all, enjoyed time he spent with his grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, he leaves his children, Louis Kleros of Tarpon Springs, FL, Pamela Sheehan and her husband Steve of Lexington and Patricia Matvichuk and her husband Paul of Middleton. He was the loving grandfather of Charles, Matthew and Amanda Sheehan and Rachael and Patrick Matvichuk. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Peter and Theodore Kleros.
Charles’ Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Service in Saint George Greek Orthodox Church at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8PM.
