

Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Cherie was the daughter of the late Harry Boise and Lorraine Baribault Boise. She attended Waterbury High School, the University of Connecticut, and Bunker Hill Community College where she earned her Master’s Degree. She was the sister of Holly Boise and Duane Boise. She is survived by a niece Fawn Hatch and great-nephew Aidan Hatch.
Cherie worked as a Compliance Director in the field of Nuclear Medicine. She is survived by her loving family: Katherine Sullivan Metivier and her husband Richard of Danvers and Michael Brennan Sullivan of Scottsdale, Arizona. Cherie and her lifelong friend and companion, Jean Sullivan raised Jean’s three children together. She also leaves three great-nephews that she adored: Andrew, Luke, and Logan Metivier. She is survived by many beloved family members: Carol Pierce and her husband Edward of Hampton, NH, and their six children, Michael Brennan and his wife Susan of Fort Myers, FL. Cherie also leaves behind a close community of friends and neighbors in the Village of Nell’s Pond Community where she ran the Association of the Village at Nell’s Pond and was a valuable member of its Book Clubs. She was a great friend to so many people.
Cherie’s life was a life of service to others. She was an avid reader. She loved the ocean, the beach and the outdoors. She loved to travel, especially to Europe, on Viking Cruises, and spending time in North Conway, Gloucester, Rockport and Maine. She loved hanging out with her dog, Murphy. Cherie never missed anything that Katie, Michael and her great-nephews were involved in and was there for all of their events, big and small, and always supported them in everything.
Family and friends are invited to attend Cherie’s Visitation on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 2:00 p.m.. to 4:00 p.m.. in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May, 1, 20203 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn, please meet directly at the church. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the Jean Brennan Sullivan Nursing Education Fund in her honor. The fund will provide educational assistance to Salem Hospital/North Shore Physicians Group nurses looking to further their careers and to employees pursuing a nursing degree.
