

Mr. David Leon Belair, Sr., age 54, of Salem, formerly of Lynn, died Wednesday, June 29, as a result of injuries from a motor vehicle accident in Williamstown. He was the husband of Mary J. (Williams) Belair, to whom he had been married for 34 years.
Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, he was the son of Luvia (Drady) Belair of Maine and of the late Donald F. Belair. He lived in Lynn for most of his life.
A Vietnam Veteran, he served in the U. S. Navy for 9 years. He was a truck driver for most of his working life and most recently was employed by Metropolitan Trucking, Inc.
David was a member of the former Bethlehem Lodge AF&AM, and a member of Mt. Carmel Lodge AF&AM and the Sutton Royal Arch Chapter all of Lynn.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves a son David L. Belair, Jr. and his wife Nicole of Salem, two daughters Krystal Belair and her fiancé Christopher Christie of Salem and Dawn Hairston and her husband Raymond of Lynn, four brothers Paul Belair and his wife Connie of FL, James Belair and his wife Lisa of Lynn, Mark Belair and his wife Tina of ME and Daniel Belair and his wife Kathy of NH, two sisters Linda Williams and her husband Tim of Lynn and Brenda Baillargeon and her husband Guy of RI, 3 grandchildren Dylan, Braedon and Madyson, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8PM. Masonic Service Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM by Mt. Carmel Lodge, AF&AM. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston 02114.
