Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Dennis W. Lanigan Sr. and Helen (Bean) Lanigan. He resided in East Boston for most of his life before moving to Lynn 9 years ago. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1958 and proudly served his country for four years during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an export agent for Intercontinental Air Freight, a position he held for over 35 years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter, Carlamarie Lanigan and her husband Scott Orben of Deerfield, NH. He is also survived by 3 granddaughters, Kate, Cassidy and Kendall.
At the request of the family, funeral services will be private.
