Mr. Donald Turk John Turkewich

Mr. Donald J. Turkewich, 85 of Lynn died Monday in the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of the late Winifred E. (Kelley) Turkewich with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

Donald was born in Lynn, son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Pohorecka) Turkewich. He was a lifelong resident of the city and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.

Donald worked at the General Electric Company River Works as an Inspector for 22 years until his retirement.

Donald’s true devotion was spending time with his family especially his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. As a young man he enjoyed playing baseball.

He was the devoted father to Donald J. Turkewich, Jr. of Peabody. He was the grandfather of Marie Favaloro of Littleton, NH, Melissa Burke of Dade City, FL, Nicole Favaloro of Brooksville, FL and Krista Favaloro of Ruskin, FL. He was the great grandfather of Anna and Evan Burke of Dade City, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Janie E. Turkewich-Favaloro.

Donald’s Funeral Service will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation period will be Friday from 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
