

Douglas R. Parker, age 26 years, of Chatham St. Lynn, died suddenly Wednesday, after being stricken while riding an exercise bike at home. Born in Beverly he is the son of Susan L. (Malvitch) Parker of Lynn and Richard D.and his wife Melinda J. Parker of Lynn. He attended Lynn schools. Doug was a self-employed landscaper in Lynn and surrounding communities. He also worked part time at the Parker Funeral Home. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Doug enjoyed skiing, waterskiing, fishing and spending time at his family's camp on Lake Ossipee. In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers Christopher J. Parker of Lynn, John R. Parker of Lynn, his paternal grandmother Elaine M. Parker of Lynn, six aunts, Jean and her husband Ronald Dionne, Patricia Millbury, Lorraine and her husband Kenneth Chennery all of Peabody, Mary Lyness of Salem, Wendy and her husband John Heath of Saugus, Bonnie A. Parker of Ft. Myers, FL, five uncles Glenn A. and his wife Mary Ellen Parker of Gonic, NH, Gardiner S. and his wife Lisa Parker of Lynn, Paul, John & Dean Malvitch all of Danvers, and many cousins. He was also grandson of the late Douglas R. Parker, and John and Elizabeth Malvitch, and cousin of the late Robert C. Parker. Service Details: Doug's funeral will be held at the First Lutheran Church 280 Broadway Lynn on Monday at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
