Eleanor Barbara Reed

Mrs. Eleanor B. Reed, age 90 years of Lynn died Wednesday at Kaplan Family Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Arthur E. Reed with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late George and Pauline (Lohnes) Smith. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1942. A lifelong resident of Lynn she was employed at the General Electric during WW II, the Boston Globe and The Candy Outlet on Union street. Eleanor loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters Donna L. Crown of Lynnfield, Barbara A. and her husband Stanley Schantz of Lynnfield, Jo-Ann and her husband Ken Middleton of Lynn, one brother Warren and his wife Marge of Lynn, four grandchildren Jason and his wife Nicole Middleton of Lynn, Greg and his wife Caitlyn Middleton of Lynn, Jennifer and Benjamin Crown of Lynnfield, two great grandsons Cameron and Trent Middleton of Lynn and several nieces. Service Details: Visiting hours will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Friday from 10:00 - 12:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
