

Mrs. Elizabeth “Liz” DeLucia, age 83, of Dorchester, died at Union Hospital on Thursday, March 17th. She was the daughter of the late Mamigon and Yevkine (Vanian) Magarosian. She was predeceased by her husband Henry DeLucia, her brother Karnig Magarosian and her first cousins, Jack Hashian and Mary Toumajian who were raised in the Magarosian home.
After receiving certification from the University of Massachusetts much of Elizabeth’s life was spent in a laboratory as a medical lab technician. She and her husband Henry owned their own laboratory and Liz also worked for the City of Boston as a laboratory technician.
Once Liz and Henry retired, they traveled across the United States in their recreational vehicle which was their dream. Their German shepherd, Ted, went with them as Ted went everywhere with Liz. Over the course of Elizabeth’s life her beloved dogs brought her great joy. Her generosity, kindness and her sense of humor will truly be missed by her family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by cousins, Katharine Hashian of Lynnfield, Michael Hashian of Lynn, Thaddeus Hashian and his wife Barbara of Lynn, John Hashian and his wife Suzanne of Lynnfield as well as Amanda (Flies) Rarick and her husband Matt of Ashland, Johanna Flies of Weston, Anita (Toumajian) Flies, Thomas Toumajian and Paul Flies and his wife Amy all of MI.
Elizabeth was also survived by two stepsons, John DeLucia and his wife Debby of Atlanta ,Georgia and Fr. Paisius DeLucia and his wife Mary of Alaska.
Elizabeth’s visiting hours will be on Sunday, March 27, from 2-6 PM at the Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St. Lynn, MA 01904. Burial will be private at the wishes of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Elizabeth’s memory be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
