IN THE CARE OF
Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home
Erik John Neenan, of Lynnfield, was suddenly stricken at home on Thursday, November 7th at the age of 50 years old. Erik was born on November 18, 1968 in Lynn, MA to Richard and Judy (Mathewson) Neenan. He was the devoted husband to his wife Katie (Robson) Neenan with whom he shared 19 years of marriage.
Erik attended St. Mary’s High School graduating with the Class of 1986 and later became a member of the St. Mary’s Alumni Association. He was also a graduate of Fitchburg State College where he played football and was a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Erik worked as a Storage Sales Account Executive for Hewlett Packard Enterprise but his most treasured role was being a father and husband.
Erik lived for his wife and children. His greatest accomplishments were his three children, Emma Lou, Jack Dillon, and Devon John. He never missed an opportunity for a father-daughter dance and attended every basketball, hockey and baseball game. Erik volunteered as a Coach and was on the Board of Directors for Lynnfield Little League for many years. He attended CrossFit 128, where he made many lasting friendships. Erik loved to travel with the whole family, whether it was north to Ogunquit and Lake Winnipesaukee, or south to Marco Island. As a thoughtful mentor, Erik never missed an opportunity to help someone or to give a word of advice. He made friends wherever he went and was loved by all.
Erik leaves behind his wife Katie (Robson), his children Emma Lou, Jack Dillon, and Devon John Neenan; his parents Richard and Judy (Mathewson) Neenan; his sister Amy Terrio and her husband Alan of Lynn; his brother Jason R. Neenan and wife Jaclyn of Weymouth; his father-in-law Atty. Charles H. Robson and the late Mary Lou Robson of Lynn; his brother-in-law Chuck Robson and his wife Ursula of Lebanon, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
