Estelle ""Teddy"" M. Patterson

Mrs. Estelle M. "Teddy" Patterson, age 88 years, of Lynn died Sunday March 11th, at Lahey Clinic North, Peabody after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Malcolm C. "Dyke" Patterson with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. Born in Lansdowne, Nova Scotia, Canada she was the daughter of the late William and Mildred (Hinxman) Harris. She attended schools in Nova Scotia, and graduated from Oakdeen School in Bear River, Nova Scotia. Mrs. Patterson moved to Lynn in 1940 and has resided in Lynn ever since. She was the office manager and bookkeeper of Patterson Oil Company in Lynn until she retired in 1994. She was an active member of the former Broadway United Methodist Church, where she served on the Board of Trustees, was President of the Women's Society of Christian Service, Chairwoman of the annual Santa Fair, and was the Chairwoman of the building committee. She enjoyed homemaking, family time, and loved her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She is survived two sons Malcolm L. and his wife Joyce Patterson of Rowley, Ronald Patterson of Lynn, two daughters Ruthanne Patterson of Prince Edward Island, Canada, Lynne and her husband Burt Gray, of Minot, ME, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late John H. "Jack" Patterson, Robert W. "Bob" Patterson, and sister of the late Roland and Harold Harris. Service Details: A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 374 Broadway Lynn on Saturday March 24th at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
