
Mr. Everett "Lefty" E. Evans, age 81 years, of Newcastle St. Lynn, formerly of Saugus, died Sunday Feb. 15th, at Union Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Marjorie R. (Blood) Evans, his best friend and love of his life for 59 years. Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Carlton and Grace (Horne) Evans. He attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1944. Mr. Evans served in the U. S. Navy as a Seaman First Class with the USN Military Gov. Unit. Okinawa, during WW II. He was employed as a shipper receiver at Lamb and Ritchie Co. in Saugus for many years until he retired in 1993. He was a board member on the Resident Council at Kings Lynn. He was active at the Greater Lynn Senior Center. He loved being with his family and was an important part of all of their lives. Lefty was an automobile enthusiast and was very knowledgeable about antique as well as new cars. He is survived by one daughter Robyn L. and her husband Thomas Flynn of Wilmington, three grandchildren Michael Nadeau, and his fiancAC.e Kristine Cardinale of Billerica, Melissa and her husband Steve Moreira of Billerica, Kimberly Nadeau of Wilmington, two great granddaughters Emilie Rose Nadeau, Aubrey Grace Moreira both of Billerica, a brother-in-law John Blood of Lynn, a sister-in-law Ruth Blood of Billerica, his special friend Beverly Dockery of Lynn, and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Arlene Hamel of Lynn. Service Details: Lefty's funeral will be held at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Wednesday at 11:00 AM, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery Visiting hours are from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
