Miss Frances T. Delaney, age 88, of Nahant, died Monday, July 2, 2012 in a local nursing home after a brief illness. Born in Charlestown, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Annie (McPherson) Delaney. She lived most of her life in Charlestown and Somerville before moving to Nahant in 1970.
She was the sister of the late George T. Delaney, John D. Delaney, William F. Delaney, Anna G. Delaney, and Mary Rose Delaney.
Frances was the aunt of Cecile Delaney of Nahant, John Delaney of Nahant and Conway, NH, David Delaney of Salem, Kevin Delaney of Hanson, Brian Delaney of Georgetown and Paul Delaney of Nahant, and leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews.
A private graveside service will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. At the request of the family, visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
