

Mr. Frank A. Ellis, age 92 years, of Chelsea, formerly of Bond St. Lynn, died Thursday, May 24, at the Soldier's Home in Chelsea after a brief illness. Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Hezekiah and Annie S. (Howell) Ellis. He attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1937. Mr. Ellis served in the US Army during World War II, seeing action in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. He was employed as a Machine Operator at the General Electric for many years until he retired. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed going to the senior center at Silsbee St. He is survived by one sister Ruby Lee of Schenectady, NY, two nieces Carol Fannon of Lynn, Kate Lee of Schenectady, NY, and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was brother of the late Clarence and Edwin Ellis, Helen McCarthy, and Hazel Jordan. Services Details: Frank's visiting hour will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
