
Mr. Frank V. Laterza, age 87, of Lynn, died Tuesday afternoon, August 10th in a local nursing home following a lengthy illness. He will always be the beloved husband of Norma M. (Capra) Laterza, to whom he had been married for 64 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Frank was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Matarano) Laterza. He graduated from High School in 1940 and then enlisted in the United States Army Air Force. He proudly served his country during World War II and following his discharge, he moved to Lynn in 1946 where he lived for most of his life.
Frank worked as a sheet metal worker for the Philadelphia Navy Yard and later was a licensed master electrician and foreman for the GE Riverworks. He enjoyed traveling and attending his Air Force reunions.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Elaine Pare and her husband Ron of Salem, Linda Wilkinson and her husband Roger of New Hampshire and Paula Santapaula and her husband Brian of Danvers, his sisters Marie Damico and Rose Acerbo both of New Jersey, and his 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Michael Laterza.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Family Church, 26 Bessom St. Lynn on Saturday, August 21st at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Arrangements by the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn.
