METHUEN – Gloria N. (Barry) Huggins, 85, of Methuen, formerly of Lynn, Andover and Danvers, passed away Friday, April 13th. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Huggins, Sr. with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, Gloria was the daughter of Charles and Pauline (Bartlett) Barry; the loving mother of William Huggins, Jr. and his wife, Wendy of Methuen, Peter Huggins and his wife, Valerie of Peabody, Stephen Huggins of Middleton, Joseph Huggins and his wife, Susan of North Andover, Patricia Peabody of Essex, Paula Eisenhauer of Salem, NH; the cherished grandmother of Erin McCrave and her husband, Patrick, Katie Gildea and her husband, Christopher, Jeffrey Peabody and his wife, Amy, John Peabody, Ryan Eisenhauer and his wife, Jessica, Jennifer Eisenhauer, and Joseph, Quinn and Avery Huggins; the great grandmother of 11 great grandchildren; the dear sister of William Barry and his wife, Joyce of Hampstead, NH, Alice Cronin of Peabody, and of the late Charles Barry, Jr., Laura Hudson, Barbara Aikins and Marilyn LeBlanc; and the aunt of several nieces and nephews. Gloria graduated from Lynn English High School with the Class of 1950. Gloria was employed by Champion Lamps in Lynn. Once her children came, she was at home. She enjoyed family, friends and her arts and crafts, and relied on her deep Christian faith. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 23rd from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn. Her funeral will be held after the visitation from the funeral home at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Lynn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Gloria may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Building 9 Lawrence, MA 01843 or via homehealthfoundation.org.
