Guy R. Gianino

Born in Lynn, Guy was the son of the late Gaetano and Rosa (Solano) Gianino. He grew up in Marblehead and was a graduate of Marblehead High School Class of 1943. He lived in Lynn for most of his life.

Prior to his retirement in 1988, he worked as an Electronic Engineer for GTE Labs, Waltham. Prior to that, he was a tool and die maker for Sylvania in Salem and Woburn. Guy was a HAM Radio Operator whose call letters were W1OPI.He also enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, mountain climbing and motorcycling.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Guy R. Gianino Jr. of Florida, John A. Gianino and his wife Amy of Norwell, and Barbara Gianino of Lynn. He was the loving grandfather of Alessandra, Giulianna and Nicholas, and leaves many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Frank Gianino, Rose Morello, Ann Dichirico, Carmelina Spinale and Josephine Brigida.

Guy’s Memorial Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Saint Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation prior to the service at 10:30 AM. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Alzheimer's Assn., 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
