Born to the late Angelo Cassaris and Fannie (Lemberopoulos) Cassaris, she was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and North Shore Community College. A longtime resident of the area, she worked as a clerk for NYNEX for 14 years before retiring in 1997.
Her family was her greatest joy. She leaves behind her daughters, Gail V. O’Leary of Lynn and Karen and her husband, James Mamos, of Lynnfield, her grandchild, Cassandra Collins, and several nieces and nephews, including Helen Morgan and Peter Curcis.
In addition to her daughter, Maryellen Schaeublin, she was predeceased by her brothers, Peter A. Cassaris and George Cassaris, her sister, Nellie Curcis, and Ernest Schaeublin, with whom she shared many years of her life. Her memory will be cherished by her family and all those who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 S. Common St, Lynn, on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
