LYNN—Helen L. (Frary) Leslie Lemachia, age 91, passed away on January 11, 2021 at the Abbott House in Lynn. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Lemachia, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, MA on January 16, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Frances L. (Poor) Frary. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1946. Following her education, she went on to work for Leslie’s Variety Store for 10 years, the Besse-Rolfe Store for 15 years, and finally Randy’s for 5 years, before her retirement.
In her free time, Helen loved being at home with her cats. She often could be found watching Golden Girls or daily game shows with them. In her earlier years, she took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving Helen is her dear son, John M. Leslie of Coolidge AZ; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her lifelong friend, Lucy Mazola of Lynn, as well as many other dear relatives and friends.
She was the loving mother of the late William T. and Robert L. Leslie.
