Helen S. Tracy

Mrs. Helen S. (Walsh) Tracy, age 96, of Lynn, died Monday evening in Union Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Edgar M. Tracy, with whom she had shared 64 years of marriage.

Born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Helen was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Sarah A. (Jenkins) Walsh. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School Class of 1935. She was a resident of Lynn for most of her life.

A faithful and dedicated member of the East Baptist Church, Helen was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a bowling fanatic. She also enjoyed reading.

She leaves her children, Patricia A. Ayers and her husband Paul of Georgetown, Sandra E. Drew of Lynn and John M. Tracy and his wife Thelma E. of Weare, NH. She was the Grandmother of Deborah Ayers, Brenda Hajec, David Ayers and his wife Catherine, Lisa Drew, Bryan Drew and his wife Dianne, Karen Perley and her husband Scott, John M. Tracy Jr. and his wife Karen, Michael S. Tracy and his fiancé Sarah Hoomis and Kathleen Day. Also survived by 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Andrew and Huston Walsh, Julia Vient, Marjorie Caulfield and Grace Cole.

Helen’s Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Saturday at 12:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation prior to the Service beginning at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the East Baptist Church, 300 Western Ave Lynn, MA 01904.
