

James Rocco Avellino “J.R.”, age 56 of Tarpon Springs, FL died suddenly on November 7, 2017 at his home from an apparent heart attack. JR was the son of the late, Rocco and Dorothy (McEntee) Avellino. He was raised in Lynn and has spent the greater part of his life in Florida. JR worked for Capgemini Consulting as a Senior Solutions Architect. His job took him to places all over the world. He has been to Singapore, India, Denmark and in these past few weeks, to Germany as well. JR graduated from Lynn Tech Class of 1979 and NSCC with an engineering degree. He also attended Northeastern University. He was a follower and practiced traditions of the Eastern Culture. JR was a Master in Tai Chi, and herbal medicines. He leaves behind his sons; Rocco and wife Karina Avellino of Kenmore, WA and Jake Avellino and his fiancé Angela Kalouris of Kennesaw, GA, his three precious grandchildren, Lestat “LJ”, Mihayla and Sanvi, all of WA. His former wife, Sherry Reich of GA and his beloved dogs; buddy and Khlesi. He was the brother of Marie O’Donnell and her husband David and Gina Uzoma, all of Lynn. He was predeceased by his sister, Lisa Viger and his brother, Joseph Avellino. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss their “crazy” Uncle J.R. Friends and family are invited to attend J.R’s memorial service on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10 AM – 12 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904.
