

Mr. James R. “Jimmy” Fournier, 80 of Lynn died Tuesday in the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband to Marcia R. (Bissell) Fournier with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Jimmy was born and educated in Lynn, son of the late Epiphane and Mary (Faggella) Fournier. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
He worked as an Electrician for Duffy Electrical for 25 years until his retirement in 2009.
Jimmy was a good honest hard working man and would do anything for his family. He played softball in the Lynn Park League. He enjoyed hunting, camping and was a true Red Sox Fan.
In addition to his loving wife Marcia, Jimmy is survived by his 2 sons Christopher J. Fournier and his wife Darrell of Lynn and James R. “Chip” Fournier, Jr. of Peabody, 3 daughters Judith Fournier of Florida, Marianne Nazzaro and her husband Frank of Peabody and Carol Hollis of Salem. 1 brother William Fournier and his wife Barbara of Lynn. 14 grandchildren Alissa Wayman and her husband Avery, Deric Polles, Erica Horenstein, Richie and Marc Fournier, Jimmey LeBlanc, Tiffany and Derek Hollis, Sonya, Jennie and Edwin Rodriguez, Rey Ferretti, Melissa Rosa and Warren Agostini. Also survived by a great granddaughter Laci Wayman and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Susan Polles.
Jimmy’s Funeral Service will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday at 8:00 PM. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston 75 Sylvan St. Suite B 102 Danvers, MA 01923.
