

Born in Lynn, Jimmy was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (Smith) Gallagher. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Northeastern University. He worked at GE River Works Plant for 37 years and he was a member of AOH Division 10 in Lynn.
Jimmy was a kind thoughtful guy, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing golf.
Jimmy leaves his children James F. “Jay” Gallagher Jr and Shannon M. Gallagher both of Danvers. Brother of John A. Gallagher and his wife Debra of Danvers, Michael J. Gallagher and his wife Carolyn of Topsfield and Ann G. Nelson and husband Brad of Westford. Son in law of Barbara Kelley of Woburn. Brother in law of Sandra, Sheila, and Richard Kelley all of Woburn, and Stephen Kelley of North Reading. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph P. Gallagher and his niece Katie Gallagher.
Jimmy’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 8:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 9 AM.
