
Mr. James W. Green, Jr., age 84 years, of Saugus, died Friday April 8th, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Boles) Green, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. He was previously married to Carolyn (Jones) Green with whom he shared three children.
Born in Norfolk, VA he was the son of the late James W. Green, Sr. and Sadie (Belyair) Green. Jim moved to Lynn as a young boy attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Tech, Class of 1948. He was employed as a Mold Maker at Millipore Corporation for many years until he retired in 1988. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Saugus, Golden Fleece Lodge A. F. & A. M. and the Eastern Star. Jim enjoyed traveling, bowling, and ball room dancing.
He is survived by his son James W. Green III and his wife Priscilla Clune of Lynn, his daughter Kathy (Green) Audler and her husband Edward of New Orleans. He is also survived by his step children Michael Sears and his wife Sylvia of Malden, and Sharon (Fiste) Gregg and her husband Patrick of Lynn, as well as his daughters in law Patricia Green of Dover, NH and Donna Sears Vlahos of Salem, MA. James had twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son David Green and step son Harold Sears, as well as his brother Vernon E. Green, and sisters Ruth Midgley and Marilyn N Savary.
Service Details: Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn. This will be followed by a memorial funeral service at 2:00 PM in which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
