

James C. Ronan, age 66 of Salem, formerly of Lynn, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Salem Hospital. Jim was born on November 4, 1950 in Lynn, the son of the Late James Ronan and Barbara (Huber) Ronan. He was raised and educated in Lynn. Jim enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country honorably during the Viet Nam War. He worked as the office manager at HC Pro in Middleton for many years.
As a young boy, he enjoyed spending summers at his grandparent’s lake home on Little Lake, Sunapee. He also enjoyed his time hunting. Jim loved the outdoors, especially the beach and going to Florida to visit his grandchildren. An avid reader, he loved to dive into books of historical nature. Jim was deeply saddened by the loss of his former spouse, Holly, for whom he cared for several years until her passing. Jim had a kind heart and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his mother, Barbara (Huber) Vienneau of Marblehead, his daughters, Amy Costanzo and husband, Roberto of Jupiter, FL and Melissa Ryan of Lynn, his sister, Debra Ronan of Marblehead, his brothers; David Vienneau of Lynn, Scott Vienneau and wife, Sharon of Woburn and Gregg Vienneau of Lynn, his granddaughters, Mia Victoria Costanzo and Nicholas Roberto Costanzo, his nieces, Cortney Vienneau of Lynn and USMC PFC Danielle Vienneau of NC and his nephew, Evan Vienneau of Woburn. Jim was predeceased by his former spouse, Holly (Picone), and his brothers, Richard and Thomas Vienneau.
Family and friends are invited to attend Jim’s visitation on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Burial with U.S. Army Honors will follow the service in Pine Grove Cemetery, Vietnam War Veterans Section, 145 Boston Street in Lynn.
