Jane E. Stickel Connaughton

LYNN- Jane Ellen (Stickel) Connaughton, 90, formerly of Lynn, Salem and Saugus, passed from this life surrounded by loving family on Sunday, August 30, 2015. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late William and Esther (O’Brien) Stickel. Jane was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Connaughton, Sr.; the loving mother of Robert J. Connaughton, Jr. and Lynda of Lynn, the late Michael W. Connaughton and Sandy of W. Palm Beach, Florida, David T. Connaughton and Ruth of Australia, Neal C. Connaughton and Susan of Prince Edward Island, Anne M. Connaughton-Swain and Bernard Swain of Boston, Patricia J. Connaughton of Saugus; the cherished grandmother of Daniel, Marybeth, Patrick, Melissa, Christopher, Timothy, Dalton, Jared, Ellen, Maddison and the late Colt; great-grandmother of Nora and Morgan; the dear sister of Margaret Devlin of Vermont and the late William Stickel; and the aunt of Kimberly Casey and Jack of Kensington, NH and their children Elizabeth, Jackson and Brendan, as well as several other nieces and nephews. She worked for many years at the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers and retired in 1991. She was a communicant and active parishioner of Holy Family Church, Lynn. She enjoyed many trips including Canada, Australia, New Orleans, Ireland, Scotland and Europe. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Jane’s funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Wednesday, September 9th, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 26 Bessom St., Lynn. Interment will follow in Lovell Lake Cemetery, Sanbornville, NH. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
