

Janelle Lynne Dilisio, of Saugus, formerly of Swampscott, passed in her home at the age of 32 on November 17, 2016. Born in Salem on June 15, 1984, she was the loving daughter of Larry and Debbie (Parsons) Dilisio of Swampscott. Janelle was raised and educated in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School with the Class of 2003. After high school, she continued her education at Suffolk University, North Shore Community College and recently graduated the Salter School as a medical assistant. Janelle had been employed for many years with Spaulding Rehabilitation of the North Shore where she had worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.
Janelle was full of life and adventure. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed time spent fishing at Red Rock in Lynn. She took pleasure in canoeing the Saco River and hiking mountains in Arizona. Janelle enjoyed sports and was a competitive softball player in high school. A bit of a thrill seeker, she reveled in snowboarding the trails of NH and even skydiving with her Mom and Dad on her 18th birthday. Her career path to be a nurse was no surprise to her family and friends as Janelle was compassionate, selfless, and always cared for others. She adored her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. Her most precious moments were always time spent with her family especially with her dad. Janelle was and always will be "Daddy's little girl".
In addition to her parents, Janelle is survived by her fiancé, Jason Piazza of Saugus, her sisters; Darlene Dilisio of Swampscott and Chrissy Curley-Dilisio of Swampscott and her fiancé, Anthony Rosati, her nephews; Tyler and Frankie Dilisio, both of Swampscott, Anthony Dilisio of Swampscott and her nieces; Jayda Curley-Dilisio and Bella Marie Dilisio-Rosati, both of Swampscott as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins and many loving and dear friends. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Michael Curley. Janelle was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; the late Lawrence and Alberta Dilisio and her maternal grandmother, the late Barbara Emmons.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in St. John the Evangelist Church, 174 Humphrey St. Swampscott at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Swampscott Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM.
