Jean M. Lloyd

Jean Marie (Lynds) Lloyd, age 88, of North Reading, formerly of Saugus, Lynn and Wolfeboro, NH, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold A. Lloyd, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.

Born in Gardiner, ME to the late Clayton F. and Hester M. (Bennett) Lynds. Jean attended Saugus High School and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing certificate. Following her education, Jean worked as a nurse at Saugus Hospital for 20 years and at Lynn Hospital for over 10 years.

In her free time, Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was involved in and enjoyed many senior citizen activities in Wolfeboro, NH.

Jean is survived by her loving children, Dennis Lloyd and his wife Anne of Portsmouth, NH, Cynthia Bray and her husband Sumner of Windham, NH, Peter Lloyd and his wife Lynda of Wilmington, Andrew Lloyd and his wife Joyce of Wilmington and her step-daughter, Shirley Gallo and her husband Generoso of Naples, FL. Jean was the sister of the late Richard Lynds. She is also survived by 8 cherished grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend Jean’s visitation on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
