Jeremiah Robert Hoy, 31, lost a long and ongoing battle with addiction on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Orlando, FL. A lifelong resident of Lynn, he was born in Salem on March 2, 1988 to the late Ernest and Diane (King) Hoy. He was the cherished brother of Samantha Hoy and Adrienne Heaphy-Tenney. Loved by many, he is also survived by his grandmother, Jeanette (Willis) King, and many aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides of his family.

Jeremiah was a graduate of Lynn English High School, graduating with the Class of 2006. Following graduation, he attended North Shore Community College. He was known as a loyal friend and protective brother to his younger sister Samantha. I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Jeremiah but his death has touched me. I thought it was so very brave that you relayed his death as an ongoing battle with addiction. We have to bring it out of the shadows and into the light to combat this disease. My big brother and sister both died from addiction so I know the pain of losing someone you love and realizing that there is no more hope for them. Wishing you peace and light in the upcoming months.
