Born in Cambridge to the late John and Rose (Levesque) Green. She worked as a switchboard operator for Union Hospital. Joan had a love for reading, solving puzzles and baking, especially her world famous whoopie pies.
Joan is survived by her husband Kevin Spearman, her devoted children Karen Invernizzi, Patty Salem, Kevin Spearman and his wife Sandra, Jimmy Spearman, and Maureen Brown and her husband David, her cherished 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her sister Barbara Paquet and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joan is predeceased by her beloved grandson Ronnie Salem, and her brothers Thomas and John Green.
Joan’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. Interment will be held at a later date.
