

John P. “Buba” LoPresti, Jr., of Lynn, entered into rest, April 19, 2020, following complications from COVID-19, at the age of 81. Buba, Beloved Husband of Mary Cronin LoPresti. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Rita (Landry) and John P. LoPresti, Sr.
Devoted Father of Michael LoPresti of Lynn, Dawn LoPresti of South Carolina, Johnny LoPresti and his Wife Cindi of Florida, Lisa Faracci and husband Arthur of South Carolina, Saugus Police LT. Anthony LoPresti and his wife Caroline of Saugus, and Angela Walker of Beverly. Buba leaves his brothers Harold LoPresti and his wife Myra, and Raymond LoPresti and wife Barbara all of Lynn, sister Carmella Potenza of New Hampshire. Also leaves his Grandchildren, Jayme Bradley, Dean Guay, Seth Pohlmeyer, Cole LoPresti, Hannah, Anthony and Isabella LoPresti, Artie Faracci, Angela, Alexis and Trevor Walker, and six great grandchildren. Predeceased siblings are Margaret Wilson, Roger and Al LoPresti and Shirley Pilgrim. Also, many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Buba was raised in Lynn, and was a graduate of Lynn Trade High School. After graduation he joined the US Army and was stationed in Alaska. Upon completing his military service, he went on to Newbury Jr. College, and Culinary Arts School.
Buba became a Chef and worked at Sky Chef, The Proctor House, and many other restaurants. He also worked at Billerica House of Correction and ended his career as a cook at Lynn Convalescent Home.
Buba was a communicant of St. Pius V Parish of Lynn and was a member of the Franco-American War Veterans Post 12. He also enjoyed traveling to Exeter, Alton Bay and North Conway New Hampshire.
Buba’s love of music extended from Rock, Gospel, Opera to Country. He loved concerts and the theatre, and followed the Patriots closely.
Buba will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
