

Born in Salem and raised in Swampscott, Jack was the son of the late Bartlett and Jane (Zujewski) Fay. He has lived in Lynn since 1973. Mr. Fay drove buses for Eastern Mass Street Railway Company prior to his employment with the US Post Office in Lynn where he worked for 37 years, retiring in 2004.
Jack was a member of Eastern Rifle and Revolver Club for over 30 years and was an Auxiliary Swampscott Police Officer. He also stayed active in the community by coaching Lynn Shore Little League where he was a Past President and where he once coached Babe Ruth with his brother-in-law, the late Dick Champa.
A quiet, generous and kind man, Jack had a sincere and genuine passion for the wellbeing of all animals.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sister, Catherine Brown and husband Robert of Marblehead, nieces, Lisa Cooper and Robin Champa. Several cousins.
Jack’s Funeral will be held at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St, Lynn on Friday at 12PM. Burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visitation from 11AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
