John E. Gaudet

John E. Gaudet, age 71 of Lynn, passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was the loving son of the late Frank J. Gaudet and the late Marion L. (Faulkenham) Gaudet.

John took pleasure in lending a helping hand to those in need. He was known to many as “Johnny Do Good” and “The Godfather”. Like his father, he loved building things and fixing cars. He had a passion for Harley motorcycles and was a fan of the lottery. Like his mother, John had a heart of gold, and will be missed by all that knew him.

He worked for many years as a mechanic. He also drove school buses for the Lynn Public Schools. In 2003 he ventured into his own school busing company with his friend and business partner.

John is survived by his two sons, Christian Gaudet and James Gaudet; his sister Jane E. MacFarlane and her husband Stephen Bayes of San Francisco, CA; and his two nephews Roy and Scott MacFarlane.

Friends and family are invited to attend John’s visitation on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
