John Igbinedion

Mr. John Igbinedion, age 67 years, of Lynn died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus after being stricken at work. He was the husband Kate (Obemwonyi) Igbinedion, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage. Born in Nigeria he was the son of the late William and Ona (Ekunwe) Igbinedion. He was educated in Nigeria, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. Before moving to Lynn in 1980 he was employed by the Ministry of Agriculture in Nigeria. After moving to Lynn he was employed as a Residential Councilor at the May Institute in Tewksbury. John enjoyed gardening in his yard and was an avid Patriots fan. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons Osazee, Osaro, Osarumwense, Igbinedion all of Lynn, three daughters, Adesuwa Igbinedion of Savannah, TN, Ebuwa Igbionedion of Lynn, Omoyemwen Igbinedion of Rocklin, CA, one brother Chris Igbinedion of Rocklin, CA, one grandchild Eduwa Igbinedion of Nigeria. Service Details: Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Saturday at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friend are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
