John, I know I have already written a couple times to your memory but I want to add that I've told alot of college roomates @ Bridgewater and neighbors and friends up here in Newton and they are all very sad at your passing. I know this is weird writing to you but I know your family will read this (and you know all about this as I have talked to you in my thoughts many times) and know what a huge extended network of friends you have. I think about you often and my only regret (which is severly deep for me) is that I didn't get a last chance to talk to you. We wrote but it wasn't the same and I will learn my lesson from it by keeping in touch with those I love and who have made a deep dent in my friendship history, as you have. I love you and miss your smiling face.
Ann, thank you so much for keeping his book online. It is wonderful to occasionally read about John and his friends and family. Love you all Legeres. Karen Regan Finn

It never occured to me to do this. Kathy, if you hadn't brought this up, I don't think I would have even thought of looking at this on line guest book, DUH!!
John, I still can't believe you're no longer with us, at times I am still in shock.
I laugh to myself everytime I think of the times I'd ask you if you needed a ride to the hospital, because you'd say, "It's a day out of work." And while it was that, more importantly, it was an opportunity to spend time with you, helping you in your time of need. We talked and laughed, even as you were being stuck with needles, more than once.
I think of you daily and was so happy to have you at so many family gatherings the past year or so. Your Job in PTown kept you away from many gatherings over the years, and while we all knew you had to stay & work the busy times of the year to make up for the slow times, it left us missing your company none the less.
I love you and miss you every day.
Love,
Denny
