John M. Lyons Sr.

John “Jack” M. Lyons, Sr. of Seabrook, NH and formerly of Lynn, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 in the Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH. Born in Lynn on June 22, 1933, Jack was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. He met and married Linda (Kiberd) over 25 years ago and settled in to Seabrook. Jack worked for many years as a toll collector for the State of New Hampshire. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1240 and an avid golfer who spent many hours playing on area courses around Lynn and Seabrook. In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his son, John “Jack” Lyons, Jr. of Lynn, his daughters, Cathy Lyons Bird of Lynn, Ann Lyons of Lynn, and Julie Williams of FL, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Jack was one of six siblings and leaves his surviving sister, Ann Doherty. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Visitation will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM. All other services will be held privately.
