John W. Murphy

Jack was born in Boston, son of the late Joseph and Madeline (Slater) Murphy. He grew up and was educated in East Boston.

Jack was a very proud Marine and served during WW II and held the rank of Private.

He worked for General Motors as a Shipping Clerk for several years until his retirement.

Jack had many friends at St. Mary’s Beano.

Besides his wife he leaves 1 son William P. Murphy of Brockton, 1 daughter Loretta D. Murphy of Beverly, 1 brother James Murphy of Abington, 1 sister Madlyn Riley of Winthrop. His 4 loving grandchildren Christine and Corrine Murphy, Adam and Morgan Campbell. Also survived by 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Marilyn M. Murphy.
