
John Francis Richardson, former Lynn English High School teacher and a long-time Lynn resident, passed away at the age of 64 after complications from a brief illness on Monday, January 29, 2018 in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born in Lynn on February 20, 1953, John was the son of the late John H. and Helen (Kissel) Richardson. John was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of St. John’s Preparatory School. He went on to attain a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of the Holy Cross and then his Master’s Degree from Salem State College. John taught Physics for many years in Lynn High School. In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing and took great pride in his outdoor seasonal lighting displays at his home.
John leaves his siblings: Michael and Thomas Richardson, both of Ithaca, NY and Mary Jo Richardson of College Station, TX as well as his nieces: Megan Gardner of Redwood City, CA, Meredith Gardner of Austin, TX, Jocelyn McCauley of Boise, ID and Lilly Richardson of Portland, OR and his nephews: WooJin and Skye Richardson, both of Ithaca, NY.
At the request of John’s family, services will be held privately.
