

LYNN – Mr. Joseph “Fred” A.E. Boucher, 79, of Lynn, passed away on August 9, 2015. Born in Rumford, ME he was the son of the late Felix and Margaret (Gallant) Boucher. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and worked as a plumber for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW Post 507, Amvets –Franco American Post #161, and Franco American War Veterans, Post #12. He enjoyed motorcycles, and was an avid Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan. Fred was the beloved husband of 51 years of the late Georgette (Allard) Boucher; the devoted father of Bonnie and her husband, the late Michael Hill, Dawn and her husband, Mark Maitland, all of Lynn, and the late Mark Boucher; the cherished grandfather of Melanie, Nicholas, Desirae, Daniel, Liana, Katie and Sarah; great-grandfather of Brittany, Caydence, Nicholas, Jr. Orrin, John, Alana and Alex; the dear brother of Phil Boucher and his wife, Dottie, Rose Derocher, Anita Auger, all of Maine and the late Edmund, Ray, Albert and Edalard Boucher; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews. Fred’s funeral will be at CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Thursday, August 13th, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery will be private.
