

Karen A. Lougee, age 46, of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by her loving family after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
She was the beloved wife of Dennis Gray and loving mother to Camrin Finnerty.
Karen loved tubing down the Saco River in Conway, NH, where she met and married her husband. Her family and friends meant the world to her and she loved spending time with them.
Born in Melrose on May 26, 1977, she was a graduate of Lynn Classical and Salem State (B.A. and Dean’s List) and recently celebrated her 30th anniversary at Walgreen’s where she met many of her closest friends. Her love for children led her to employment at Launch & Learn EduCare Center, followed by becoming a full-time nanny for her dear friend Vivian.
Karen is survived by her husband Dennis Gray; son Camrin Finnerty; parents John and Sharon (Stanwood) Lougee; sisters Claudine, Kristen, and Candee Lougee; Godparents Judith Lougee and Stephen Stanwood; nephews Stephan and Jalen Coriolan; Mother-in-law Janice Gray; sister-in-laws Candace Gray and Nicole Coup and her husband Joseph and daughter Kennedy (niece), many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Kenneth.
Her “...dimples and smile”, affection and concern for others will always be remembered.
Friends and family are invited to attend Karen’s visitation on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral service will follow at 7:30 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen’s memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, www.dana-farber.org.
